DBCE Team at Second International Conference on Civil Engineering – Innovative Development in Engineering Advances (ICC IDEA – 2025)

A project team from Department of Civil Engineering at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao, Goa comprising Avon Carvalho, Kshitiz KC, Krish Sharma, Satyendra Naik, and Yohan Antao presented their research paper titled “Assessment of Seismic Response of RC Structures with Vertical Irregularity in Different Seismic Zones” under the guidance of Dr. Neena S.P. Panandikar, Guide, and Asst. Prof. Genevieve Fernandes, Co-Guide at the Second International Conference on Civil Engineering – Innovative Development in Engineering Advances (ICC IDEA – 2025). The event was held at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu.
During the conference, the group actively engaged in various expert talks delivered by both national and international speakers, gaining valuable insights into the latest challenges and innovations in civil engineering. In addition, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal of the college, was invited to chair a session of paper presentations, highlighting her esteemed expertise in the field.

After the academic sessions, the group, along with Dr. Panandikar, had the opportunity to tour SRM’s state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities. This insightful visit allowed them to explore cutting-edge technologies and research methodologies in civil engineering. Professors from SRM’s Department of Civil Engineering provided in-depth explanations of various tests and ongoing projects, enriching the group’s understanding.
The entire experience presenting their research, interacting with experts, and observing advanced facilities proved to be an exceptionally valuable and educational opportunity for the group.
