DBCE-TekFest 2024 Inaugural

Don Bosco College of Engineering has held two distinct events annually: SANKRITI organized by Civil Department and INSPIRUS organized by the Computer Department. This year both events together were brought under one banner titled DBCE TEKFEST 2024 – a technical event providing a platform to students to put forward their best talents. There were over 600 participations from colleges around the state, such as Goa College of Engineering, Father Agnel Polytechnic and many more.

Mr. Kapil Sinai Borkar, Managing Director, Borkar Construction Pvt. Ltd., graced the Inaugural function as the chief guest, held on 10^th October 2024. Ms Nadia Fernandes and Mr.Samruddha Patil welcomed the dignitaries. Director Rev Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, Registrar Dr. Kala Nayak HOD’s of Civil and Computer Department, Dr, Shwetha Prasanna Dr. Gaurang Patkar. TEKFEST Advisors- Satyesh Kakodkar, Amey Tilve & Jonessa Ferrao;  CESA and C-Codes/ Chairperson Sailee Mahale & Jayesh Naidu, were also in attendance.

The trailers of both events were premiered followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp. Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal, in her welcome address briefed about the various events, workshops scheduled and wished that TEKFEST would ignite passion for technology and innovation.

“When like minds come together there is synergy, a type of binding force, enhancing the capabilities of those coming together” Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz (Director) motivated the participants.

Prof. Sweta and Prof. Jonessa proceeded with the release of Souvenir of INSPIRUS and Technical Bulletin 4 of Civil Department. This was followed by the felicitation of graduated Civil and Computer students (Batch 2019-2023/ 2020-2024), handled by Prof. Genevieve and Prof. Sweta.

Further, the Chief Guest was introduced by Prof Shruti, Mr. Borkar addressed the importance of learning and collaborating with technology to achieve success. He was presented with a memento as a sign of gratitude by the Director. The inaugural ended with a thank you note by Dr. Shwetha Prasanna.
