DBCE Wins Tennis Intercollegiate Championship

The Tennis Intercollegiate Championship 2025, hosted by Goa University, witnessed an exciting and competitive tournament with a total of 20 teams participating. The team from Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, emerged victorious, showcasing skill and determination throughout the championship.

• First Match: DBCE Fatorda played against Govt College Borda College and secured a victory with a score of 2-1.
• Quarterfinals: Facing last year’s winners, Government College, Quepem, and DBCE triumphed with another 2-1 win, highlighting their resilience and strategic gameplay.
• Semi-finals: The team defeated Don Bosco College, Panjim, in a closely contested match, winning 2-1 to advance to the finals.

Final Match:
In the finals, DBCE Fatorda faced off in a thrilling encounter. The results were as follows:

• First Game (Singles): DBCE won 6-3.
• Second Game (Singles): The opposition levelled the score by winning 6-2.
• Doubles Game: DBCE sealed their victory with a score of 6-4, winning the match 2-1 overall.

Outstanding Performance:
Raoul Vas of DBCE Fatorda was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament for his exceptional performance and remarkable consistency throughout the matches. His contributions were instrumental in the team’s success.
