DREAM BIG 2025
The fourth edition of DREAM BIG 2025, a flagship event, was organized by the Computer Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) on 28th March 2025. This Industry-Start-up-Student Connect event was held in association with FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship), MeitY Startup Hub, Digital India, and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. It provided a dynamic platform for students to network with industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and explore emerging technologies beyond traditional classroom learning.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the hosts, Ms. Gretchen Pereira and Ms. Nelvy Fernandes, who introduced the essence of DREAM BIG 2025. A short video presentation showcased the department’s milestones and the event’s journey over the years.
Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal of DBCE, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry. She highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LUARC Technology, underscoring its role in enhancing student opportunities. She concluded by appreciating the speakers and organizers for their dedication in making the event a success.
Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director of DBCE, also addressed the gathering, sharing his thoughts on how dreams fuel innovation and inspire individuals to think beyond conventional boundaries. He extended gratitude to the Computer Engineering Department, FiiRE, co-organizers, and sponsors for their unwavering support in making the event impactful.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of an MOU with LUARC Technology, a Goa-based company specializing in AI-driven solutions. This collaboration aims to enhance student learning through internships, hands-on projects, and industry engagement.
Mr. Haston Silva, CTO of LUARC, provided an overview of the company’s initiatives, followed by Ms. Aishweriya Parab, Senior Software Developer at LUARC, who presented their solar calculator developed for TERSUS Energy, explaining its significance in solving real-world challenges.

Session 1: AI-Driven Entrepreneurship
- Moderator: Mr. Jayesh P. Naidu
- Speaker: Ms. Neha Soman (Co-Founder, Hypergro.ai)
- Key Takeaways: Ms. Soman emphasized AI-driven innovation, the importance of hackathons, and making the most of college life. She also shared insights into her YouTube career and journey in entrepreneurship, inspiring the audience with her experiences.
Session 2: Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Moderator: Ms. Juveriya Shaikh
- Speaker: Mr. Pavan Allena (Founder, Bower School of Entrepreneurship)
- Key Takeaways: Mr. Allena discussed fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, introducing the Bower School of Entrepreneurship and its mission. He encouraged students to embrace problem-solving, work with startups, and develop resilience in facing challenges.
Session 3: Overcoming Challenges in Entrepreneurship
- Moderator: Mr. Vadiraj Inamdar
- Speaker: Mr. Sandeep Bommireddi (Co-Founder, Adonmo)
- Key Takeaways: Mr. Bommireddi shared his childhood struggles with dyslexia, drawing parallels with the movie Taare Zameen Par. He spoke about the challenges of launching a startup, securing funding, and the importance of having a clear vision and effective pitching skills.
At the end of the sessions, Dr. Gaurang Patkar, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, presented a memento to Mr. Srinivas Taluka as a token of appreciation.
