E-Cell, Don Bosco College of Engineering organizes SAMBHAV – e-National Level Awareness Programme of Ministry of MSME, Govt of India

Entrepreneurship Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa organized SAMBHAV – e-National Level Awareness Programme of Ministry of MSME, Govt of India for the students at the Institute on Wednesday,November 17, 2021. Mr. Satyesh Kakodkar, Host and Event Coordinator welcomed MSME team, E-Cell faculty, and participants for this event. MSME team present virtually were Mr. D R Johari – Assistant Director, MSME; Mr. P. P. Kulkarni – Assistant Director, MSME; Ms. Deepa GL – Deputy Director and HOO, MSME DI Madgaon; Mrs. Mayuri Bhate – Entrepreneur, M/s Durvankur Enterprises and Mr. Joseph Mathew – Chairman, Madgaon Industries Association.

Ms. Deepa GL in her welcome address gave an overview of the Ministry of MSME and the importance of the sector in the Indian economy. Mr. D R Johari moderated the session. He explained the importance of entrepreneurship and the way in which MSME does the handholding for the youth to promote entrepreneurship. Mr. P. P. Kulkarni instructed the participants to visit the website www.msme.gov.in for further information on all the schemes for young and budding entrepreneurs. He mentioned, “MSMEs play a crucial role in making youth job providers rather than job seekers.” Mrs. Mayuri Bhate – Entrepreneur, M/s Durvankur Enterprises narrated her journey from being a Civil Engineer to an Entrepreneur and the manner in which MSME has provided all the necessary assistance towards schemes for raising funds. Later, three videos were shown to the participants. One was a motivational video on encouraging participants to be entrepreneurs, second was a short, animated documentary explaining different schemes of MSME ministry and third was on success stories of youth across different states of India.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Satyesh Kakodkar, ECell Faculty Member and Event Coordinator who echoed the words of appreciation to MSME team, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Mrs. Avila Naik – TPO & ECell Convener, ECell Faculty members and participants.
