The Entrepreneurship Cell of DBCE, Fatorda, organized a field visit to Build3, a co-working and living space located in Candolim, Goa on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The session was led by Mr. Apoorv Bamba, Co-Founder & Employability Architect at Belong Education and Ms. Vidushi Malhotra, Co-Founder at Belong Education who shared valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship.

Vidushi Malhotra started the session with an engaging discussion on the mission statement and the essence of real entrepreneurship. She emphasized that true entrepreneurship is about providing innovative solutions to new challenges, rather than merely solving existing problems. Apoorv Bamba followed with a talk on the significance of teamwork and the broader aspects of entrepreneurship. He highlighted the critical role of collaboration and effective communication in achieving entrepreneurial success. To reinforce these concepts, Apoorv and Vidushi organized two interactive activities.

The first activity involved students drawing their life goals and entrepreneurial visions for the next five years. This exercise aimed to help students articulate their long-term aspirations, fostering a mindset geared towards future success. The second activity tasked students with building a bridge using newspapers, tape, and other materials. This hands-on task emphasized the importance of teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills, demonstrating how critical these soft skills are in the entrepreneurial journey.

In the concluding session, Mr. Prakash Balasubramanian Iyer,  Co-Founder & CEO at 18Startup delivered a powerful message to the attendees. He advised against having a Plan B when pursuing entrepreneurship, arguing that a singular focus and unwavering commitment are crucial for success. He also highlighted the importance of adding value through one’s own ventures rather than working solely to enhance the value of larger corporations. Mr. Prakash’s insights resonated deeply with the students, inspiring them to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions with determination and confidence.

After the sessions, the students were given a comprehensive tour of the Build3 workspace. This tour provided them with a firsthand look at how entrepreneurs collaborate and innovate in a shared environment. The students observed the dynamic interactions and the vibrant ecosystem that fosters creativity and productivity among entrepreneurs working at Build3.
