Event Report – Pink Power: Stories of Strength

The Women’s Cell – Dhrishni and the Health and Well-Being Club of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, organized a meaningful event titled ‘Pink Power: Stories of Strength’ in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October). Held on Saturday, 25 October 2025, the programme brought together students, faculty, and guests in a touching celebration of courage, awareness, and solidarity.

The event was graced by the Guest Speakers, Dr. Ananya Das, Associate Professor at Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao and Smt. Prashanti Talpankar, Retired Associate Professor, Writer, Translator and Actor, both Cancer Survivors.

In the Pink Ribbon Ceremony, the audience tied pink ribbons to each other as a symbolic gesture of support and awareness. The event featured an interactive dialogue titled Pink Power: Stories of Strength, moderated by the anchor. This segment explored survivor stories, emotional challenges, and the power of community support in overcoming illness. The speakers shared personal reflections that were heartfelt and inspiring, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of empathy and determination.

The event beautifully summed up the spirit of hope, courage, and compassion. The Pink Power: Stories of Strength event was not only an awareness drive but a movement that celebrated resilience and unity.
