Faculty Development Program on “AI Tools for Teaching & Learning”

A two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “AI Tools for Teaching & Learning” was organized at St. Xavier’s College, Goa, on 21st and 22nd October 2025. The program aimed to equip faculty members with the knowledge and practical experience required to integrate Artificial Intelligence tools into their teaching practices, thereby enhancing classroom engagement and academic efficiency.

Dr. Gaurang Patkar served as the Resource Person for the program. The FDP saw active participation from over 120 senior faculty members representing various colleges across Goa. The sessions included hands-on demonstrations and discussions on AI-based tools and platforms that assist in content creation, assessment, presentation design, data analysis, and personalized learning support.

Participants responded positively to the interactive format of the sessions and shared their enthusiasm for adopting AI-driven methods in their classrooms. Discussions also focused on the importance of using AI responsibly—as a co-pilot that supports creativity and decision-making rather than replacing human judgment.

The FDP concluded on a reflective and optimistic note, with participants expressing appreciation for the valuable insights, collaborative learning opportunities, and the overall enriching experience the program provided.
