Farewell Ceremony for BE Computer Batch 2024

On 13^th May 2024, the department of computer engineering organized a memorable farewell ceremony for the BE Computer Batch of 2024. The event was a blend of emotions, celebrations, and reflections on the academic journey of the students. A total of 64 students from the graduating batch attended the ceremony, making it a significant and well-attended occasion.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome by the Master of Ceremonies, who set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the evening. The Director of the college then took the stage to deliver a powerful motivational speech. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, lifelong learning, and the role of engineers in shaping the future. His words were both inspiring and encouraging, resonating deeply with the students.

Following the Director’s speech, the Principal addressed the gathering. Her words of wisdom focused on the transition from academic life to professional career. She highlighted the importance of ethical practices, continuous self-improvement, and maintaining a balance between personal and professional life. Her speech was a reminder to the students of the values and principles they should uphold as they step into the professional world.

The Head of the Department (HOD) then congratulated the students on their numerous achievements during their time at the college. He recounted some of the notable projects, research papers, and competitions where the students had excelled. He also wished them success in their future endeavors, expressing confidence that they would continue to make the department and the college proud.

Class teachers took turns to share their personal experiences and memories with the students. They highlighted the growth and development of the students over the years, from their initial days as freshers to becoming capable and confident graduates. Their speeches were filled with anecdotes, bringing smiles to the audience.

The juniors from TE Computer and SE Computer classes organized a series of entertainment programs. These included fun-filled games, music, and a spectacular dance performance that captivated the audience. The entertainment segment added a lively and joyous atmosphere to the evening, showcasing the talents and creativity of the juniors.

The highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony. Various awards were presented to students in different categories, recognizing their achievements in academics, sports, cultural activities, and leadership. The most prestigious award, the Outstanding Student Trophy, was awarded to Ms. Nicole Fernandes. Her consistent academic excellence, leadership qualities, and contributions to the college community made her a deserving recipient of this honor.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to making the farewell a success. Special thanks were given to Prof. Janhavi Naik, the farewell coordinator, along with the team whose meticulous planning and dedication were instrumental in organizing the event seamlessly.
