Fireside chat with Mr. Kapil Kane on  “Philosophy of Product Design and Sustainable Innovation”

CII IWN DBCE Student’s Chapter of our college organized a Fireside chat with Mr. Kapil Kane on 2nd February 2024 on “Philosophy of Product Design and Sustainable Innovation”. Mr. Kapil Kane is the Director of Innovation at Intel. He is a Full-stack innovator with deep expertise in areas of corporate innovation, intrapreneurship, technology incubation, business acceleration, design thinking & lean startup methodology. He is the creator of the first multi-touch screen at Apple and went on to Lead product design on iPod, Mac Book, iMac and iPad.

The event was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, CII IWN Chair Ms. Sonia Kuncalienkar, CII IWN members Ms. Sheetal Pai Kane, Ms. Parvish Andani Kamat, Ms. Leena Kamat, Ms. Shreemi Panandikar, Chair CII Executive officer Mr. Fernando Da Silva and CII-IWN DBCE Student’s Chapter Faculty coordinator Ms. Melba D’Souza. The event was compered by Ms. Karen Mendes and the fireside chat was conducted by Ms. Sonia Kuncalienkar.

The event commenced by welcoming the dignitaries with flowers and introduction of  Mr. Kapil Kane by Ms. Marissa Barretto which was followed by the Fireside chat with Mr. Kapil Kane.

The fireside chat with Mr. Kane provided a captivating journey into the world of entrepreneurship and ground breaking ideas. Mr. Kane, a seasoned innovator and entrepreneur, shared his insights, experiences, and the challenges he faced during his remarkable journey in the realm of innovation.

The fireside chat with Mr. Kane provided a rich and inspiring exploration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the determination required to drive meaningful change. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of the mind-set and strategies essential for navigating the complexities of the innovation landscape. Mr. Kane’s journey serves as a beacon for those aspiring to make a mark in the world of innovation.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by CII IWN student member Ms. Diana Estibeiro. The event was organized by the CII IWN faculty Coordinator Ms. Melba D’souza.
