FIRST YEAR STUDENTS INAUGURAL 2019-20

FE Inaugural 1

The inaugural for the new academic year 2019-20 was held at Don Bosco College of Engineering-Fatorda on 15th July 2019. The service began with a short presentation showcasing the different activities of the college. Scriptures from the Holy Quran, Bhagvat Gita and the Holy Bible were read along with a prayer on behalf of the faculty and students.  A video of a beautiful Bhajan was played.

The service was marked by the solemn lighting of the lamp by the Provincial – Rev. Fr. Felix Fernandes, Vice Provincial – Rev. Fr. Clive Telles, Economer –  Rev Fr. Francis Silveira,Rector- Rev. Fr. Paul D’souza, Director- Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Fr. Austin Fernandes, Principal- Dr. Neena Panandikar, Registrar- Dr. Kala Nayak, along with a first year student.

Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz welcomed the first year students and spoke about how important it is to have values. He explained to the students how it is  important to act professionally in behaviour, attitude and dressing.

Dr. Neena Panandikar, insisted that the students should aim for all round development and not just academics. She informed themthat the college has a State Of The Art Incubation and Sports Centre and that the students should make best use of them.

FE Inaugural

Rev. Fr. Felix Fernandes congratulated the students for having secured admissions at Don Bosco College of Engineering-Fatorda. He further spoke about Stephen Covey’s book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, which is a road map to a successful future.

The Academic Calendar, Student Handbook and the Mentoring Hand Book, were released at the hands of Rev. Fr. Felix Fernandes . Rev. Fr. Clive Telles released the newsletter “Connections”.  Dr. Kala Nayak the Registrar and the HOD of the Science and Humanities, proposed the vote of thanks. The compere for the function was Ms Grebian Alemao.
