The Entrepreneurship Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized a knowledge-sharing session on From Idea to Startup on 23rd August 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. Shrinivas Inamdar, a former Executive Member of E-Cell, who shared his entrepreneurial insights with the first-year students.

The talk focused on why students should begin their startup journey as early as the first year of engineering. Shrinivas explained that this stage offers more time to experiment, more freedom to explore ideas, and less risk to learn from failures, making it the ideal period to lay the foundation for entrepreneurship.

He introduced the Startup Journey Roadmap, covering:

  • Ideation & Validation: Brainstorming ideas, identifying problems, and testing assumptions with potential users.
  • Prototype & Scaling: Developing a basic working version and gradually expanding reach.
  • Incubation at FiiRE: Opportunities for workspace, mentorship, and funding support.

Shrinivas also highlighted the role of E-Cell as a platform for mentorship, networking, competitions, and as a direct bridge to the FiiRE incubation centre.

To inspire the audience, he shared insights about ongoing startups within the college, showing how peers had transformed their ideas into ventures. He further guided students on how they too could take the first step—by coming up with an idea and nurturing it with consistent effort and learning.

The session ended with an interactive Q&A.
