FSAI Student Chapter DBCE organizes a webinar on Net Positive Energy Buildings in association with FSAI Goa & Bengaluru Chapter

A webinar on Net Positive Energy Buildings was organized by FSAI DBCE Student Chapter in association with FSAI Goa & Bengaluru Chapter on  November 28, 2020. The program began with FSAI Anthem and Welcome address by the Principal of DBCE, Dr. Neena Panandikar. The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Rupesh Iyengar, President FSAI Bengaluru Chapter and Director at Services Consultants. He gave brief statistics about the energy consumption in the country and introduced the concept and explained the importance of Zero energy and net positive energy buildings. Dr. Iyengar also highlighted MEP, HVAC, Electrical, PHE and Architectural considerations in the design of Zero energy/ net positive energy buildings. He concluded the session with some case studies which he has worked on in India and other countries. Dr. Jennifer Lewis praised the session and expressed interest in organizing more  events in the near future. Around 98 members including industry professionals, academicians and students attended the session. The event convener was Prof. Ajit Salunke, HOD Mechanical Department and the event coordinator was Prof. Saurabh Raikar.
