Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, celebrated Goa’s 65th Liberation Day on December 19, 2025, with fervour and patriotism. The distinguished Chief Guest, Ms. Hegel Conchita DaCosta, Core Faculty in Public Administration, Goa Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development, Ella Farm, Old Goa, added significance to the occasion. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Chief Guest Ms. Hegel Conchita DaCosta, accompanied by the resonant singing of the national anthem.

Highlighting the rich Goan heritage, student’s members presented a melodious song that echoed the themes of freedom and patriotism. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the event. Ms. Hegel Conchita DaCosta  was introduced by General Secretary Mr. Samrudha Patil. Ms. Hegel Conchita DaCosta, addressed the gathering, sharing his thoughts on this auspicious occasion. She said “Goa has a rich culture and we Goan’s should preserve it. We should work in all possible ways in our own field for the same.”  In appreciation, the chief guest received a memento from the Rector Fr. Ralin De Souza. The event was also graced by Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, Administrator Fr. Leo Pereira along with Registrar Dr. Kala Nayak.

The Cultural Secretary, Mr. Sherwin Dias, expressed gratitude in a well-received vote of thanks. The event concluded with Prof. Clifford Britto, the sports officer, issuing final dispersal orders. The gathering, skilfully hosted by Mr. Aditya Bingekar and meticulously coordinated by Prof. Amey Tilve, showcased a harmonious blend of patriotism and cultural richness.
