Gunvatta Yatra ( NABL awareness program) at GCCI, Goa

To promote awareness about NABL accreditation among industries, laboratories, and academic institutions, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), in association with GCCI, organized the Gunvatta Yatra – NABL Awareness Session on March 25, 2025, at Surendrababu Convention Hall, Panaji, Goa, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

NABL, a Constituent Board of the Quality Council of India (QCI) under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India, plays a crucial role in ensuring quality and competence in laboratory accreditation.

The session was attended by Dr. Shwetha P, Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, DBCE, Fatorda, and Dr. Nitendra Palankar, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, DBCE, Fatorda, along with approximately 60 participants from various industries, laboratories, and academic institutes.

The event commenced with an inaugural session, where the resource person, Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru, Joint Director, NABL, QCI Ahmedabad, was introduced to the audience. Through an engaging interactive session and presentation, Dr. Rajyaguru covered key topics such as:

• Importance and relevance of NABL accreditation
• Process and criteria for obtaining accreditation
• Required documentation for accreditation

Additionally, Dr. Rajyaguru addressed various queries from the audience regarding the accreditation process and its implementation within institutions.

The session proved to be highly informative and provided valuable insights into the NABL accreditation framework, reinforcing its significance in maintaining quality standards across industries and academic institutions.
