IGNITRON 2018 held in DBCE

The Mechanical Engineering department of Don Bosco college of Engineering organized a One Day Intercollegiate event ‘IGNITRON 2K18’ under the banner of Mechanical Engineering Students Hub (MESH). The event saw participations from GEC, PCCE, RIT and AITD and Chowgule College. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal, DBCE.

The events which were held were TORQUIZ (AUTOMOBILE QUIZ), LEAGUE OF MACHINES (ROBO-WARS) HACKATON, SPEEDCUBING & MINI MILITIA. Students from St’ Joseph’s School, Vasco participated in SPEEDCUBING and were winners.

The Chief Guest for the Valedictory function was Mr. Blaise Costabir, MD, GMI Zharak Moulders. He motivated the students to take up Engineering as a challenge and come up with innovative ideas which can help sustain the environment. Dr. Neena Panandikar, Prof.  Ajit Salunke, HOD- Mechanical Department and Prof. Suraj Marathe, Coordinator, MESH was also present. Dr. Panandikar complimented the students for undertaking community outreach programmes and excelling at National level in sports and technical competitions. Prof. Salunke appreciated the efforts put in by the MESH council along with faculty coordinators under the leadership of Prof. Suraj.  Mr. Kish Rego, Secretary, MESH gave an overview of the day long events. Mr. Nagesh Kochkar, President, MESH proposed the vote of thanks.
