IMS Passing Out Ceremony

The Institute of Maritime Studies (IMS), Goa, organized the Final Passing Out Ceremony for the 28th Batch of Graduate Entry Cadets and the 24th Batch of Diploma Entry Cadets on 28th November 2025 at the IMS Ground, Vasco da Gama. The event was attended by Mechanical Engineering faculty members, Dr. Suraj Marathe, Head of Department, and Dr. Ajit Salunke, Associate Professor.

The event was presided over by distinguished dignitaries: Shri Sanjay Nair, Director Technical Projects and Innovation, M/s. Scorpio Marine Management India Pvt. Ltd., Shri. Larson D’Sa, Chairman, Institute of Marine Engineers (India), Goa Branch, and Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, Chairman, SITEG, Goa.

The programme included a Guard of Honour inspection, a ceremonial march past, prize distribution, and the awarding of certificates and mementos to graduating cadets. Cadet representatives from both batches also addressed the gathering. It was a proud moment for DBCE as 11 of its alumni were among the cadets passing out this year.

Shri. Shivram Kamat, Director of IMS, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of faculty, staff, and industry partners in the successful training of the cadets.
