Inaugural of AVINYA 4.0

The inaugural ceremony of Avinya 4.0 was held on 22 November 2025 at 9:30 am, the annual entrepreneurship fiesta of Don Bosco College of Engineering, was held on campus with great enthusiasm. The event was hosted by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), which aims to nurture innovation and promote an entrepreneurial mindset among students.

The Chief Guest was Mr. Americo (Ricky) Noronha, Director of Online Productivity Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Warmly welcomed other dignitaries which were Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes, Director of DBCE; Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal; Dr. Kala Nayak, Registrar; and Mr. Thushar Jithendran, Chairman of the E-Cell along with the secretary Mr. Narendra Naik. We extend our greetings to all faculty coordinators, department HoDs, and special guests present with us today.

The programme began with a warm welcome by the comperes Mr Shrinivas Inamdar and Mukta Deshpande, followed by the introduction of the dignitaries. A teaser showcasing highlights from Avinya 3.0 and the trailer of Avinya 4.0 set the tone for the day. The dignitaries then participated in the digital lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and new beginnings.

The Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, addressed the gathering, followed by an inspiring message from Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes, the Director. Certificates and medals for the Entrepreneurship Idea to Startup (EIS) audit course were awarded to final-year students by the Chief Guest. Mr. Noronha delivered an insightful address, sharing his entrepreneurial experience and encouraging students to pursue innovation fearlessly. The Avinya 4.0 souvenir was released shortly after.

Winners of the E-Cell’s semester events—Germinate It, Analysis Paralysis, and Venture Visionaries—were felicitated for their creativity and excellence. A memento was presented to the Chief Guest in appreciation of his presence. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Prof. Mathilda Colaco. The inaugural function successfully set an energetic and inspiring start to Avinya 4.0.
