Inauguration of the MESH and ESCinC Council

The Electronics and Computer Science Engineering Students’ Council (ECSInC) along with the Mechanical Engineering Students’ Council (MESH) of Don Bosco College of Engineering jointly held their installation ceremony for their respected committees for the academic year 2025-26 on August 23, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Seminar Hall 1.
The Chief Guest was Ms. Raileen Rego, HR and Admin, NETZSCH Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. The ceremony was also graced by Fr. Wilfred Fernandes (Director), Dr. Neena Panandikar (Principal), Dr. Suraj Marathe (Head of the Mechanical Department) and Dr. D.S. Vidhya (Head of the Electronics and Computer Science Department).
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries. The newly elected ECSInC Chairman, Mr. Preston D’Silva welcomed the gathering. The occasion was followed by the unveiling of the newly designed logo of ECSInC, formerly known as DBEATS. This significant event also commemorated the official rebranding of our council, formerly DBEATS, to its new identity as ECSInC. During the event Mr. Josiah Fernandes and Mr. Lenoy Menezes highlighted the MESH and DBEATS activities respectively from the previous year. The Principal discussed the newly introduced multidisciplinary postgraduate course, urging students to take full advantage of this opportunity. She also encouraged the newly appointed committee members to draft a strategic plan for the upcoming events. Fr. Wilfred congratulated the outgoing committee for their excellent work and challenged students to push their boundaries and broaden their horizons and wished the newly elected council the very best for the upcoming year.
This was followed by the Oath taking ceremony of the newly elected council members of the MESH and ECSInC councils.
Mr. Mack Furtado introduced the Chief Guest and welcomed her to address the gathering.Ms. Rego encouraged students to always be curious to continue learning, and to be courageous and compassionate to take risks and challenges in life. She was pleased seeing many women engineers and also encouraged them to pursue their engineering careers and enter the workforce with leading innovations and to transform and bring a change to industries across. The newly elected MESH chairman, Mr. Mazen Leitao offered the vote of thanks.

The venue was elegantly decorated by CJP Decorators, setting the perfect ambiance for the occasion.
