INDEPENDENCE DAY 2017

The 71th Independence Day was celebrated at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda on the 15th of August 2017. The Chief Guest , Rev. Fr. Paul D’ Souza, presently Rector of Don Bosco Fatorda, unfurled the National Flag. A second year Computer student Ms. Yash Prabhu Gaonkar accompanied by NSS Volunters sang the National Anthem. Anushka from second year civil and Saieesha from second year computer performed a barathnatyam dance.
Principal, Dr.Neena Panandikar addressed the gathering with an inspirational speech. The Chief Guest, Fr. Paul D’ Souza gave a motivating speech, he emphasised the achievements and concerns the country presently faces. He spoke on the leadership skills of various world leaders and how we need to inculcate them, to become better citizens
The function ended with a Vote of Thanks given by Mr Ronan Revadker.
The function was compared by a third year Mechanical student Mr. Kai DaCosta.
