Indian Knowledge System Project Expo 2025

The Department of Science and Humanities, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, organized an Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Project Expo on 11 October 2025 in the Drawing Hall, DBCE. The expo showcased student projects developed under the IKS framework, highlighting the integration of India’s traditional knowledge systems with modern engineering perspectives.

The event featured projects across diverse themes such as Astronomy and Calendars, Mathematics, Architecture and Town Planning, Public Administration and Governance, Indian Art Forms, Music and Musical Instruments, Vedas and other texts, and Ayurveda. The expo witnessed active participation from DBCE students and visiting school students, offering an enriching academic exchange.



Dr. M. S. Krupashankara, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Goa University, graced the event as the Chief Guest and also served as the Expo Judge. Mr. Amey Kerkar and Mr. Sanjeel Naik, Assistant Professors, DBCE, were the other judges for the event. The projects were evaluated on creativity, relevance, and conceptual understanding.

The IKS Project Expo was coordinated by Ms. Carol Cardozo and Ms. Jesselyn Fernandes, Assistant Professors, Department of Science and Humanities. The event successfully fostered awareness and appreciation of India’s rich knowledge traditions among students.
