Installation of Council of Mechanical Engineering Students Hub (MESH) for the year 2017-18 at DBCE
The Mechanical Engineering Students Hub (MESH) of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda installed the students Council for the academic year 2017-2018 on 12th August 2017. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Sachin Mirajkar, Head-Operations, Netzsch Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. shared his professional experiences and said that engineers should think out of the box, with sophisticated technology at their fingertips. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director said that an engineering student should think like a businessman and emphasized on the work culture of Germans. Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal appreciated the role of MESH and urged students to participate in National level competitions. Prof. Ajit Salunke, HOD-Mechanical Engineering urged students to use the MESH platform to equip themselves to face greater challenges in life.. Prof. Suraj Marathe, Coordinator-MESH gave an overview of activities of MESH in the year 2016-17. Dr. Kala Nayak, Registrar was also present on the dais.
The new council of MESH comprises of Chairman, Nagesh Kochkar, Secretary, Kish Rego, Treasurer, Abner Vas, Editor, Noah Rodrigues and Executive Members- Rohan Borker, Anuj Dhond & Steven Fernandes.
A one day workshop on “Positive Displacement pumps” was conducted by Netzsch for Industry Professionals, Academicians and students. The resource persons were Mr. Ashutosh Bandodkar, Asst. Manager- Customer relations and Mr. Nikhil Naik, Deputy Manager- Design. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Manjunath Narvate.
MecHeads also organized a workshop on “Introduction to Robotics” for second year students. Yatish Danageri, Mohammad Faraz Khan, Harshad Kawlekar were the trainers and the program was coordinated by Prof. Ishan Kossambe.
Prof. Chetan Gaonkar and Prof. Sanjeel Naik were the coordinators for the MESH event.
