INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION
On 21st June, the Department of Sports at our college (DBCE) organized a Yoga Session to mark the “International Day of Yoga”. The session was led by Mr. Rama Naik, a distinguished yoga instructor specializing in yoga. This event was open to all staff and students, promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
The session began with a warm-up to prepare the participants’ bodies for the exercises ahead. Following the warm-up, Mr. Naik guided everyone through a series of asanas (yoga postures), carefully explaining the techniques and highlighting the benefits of each pose. The asanas were designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and relaxation. After the asanas, Mr. Naik introduced the participants to pranayama, a series of controlled breathing exercises that help in reducing stress and improving mental clarity.
The session concluded with a few minutes of meditation, accompanied by gentle music, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere. Dr. Neena Panandikar, the Principal, expressed her gratitude to Mr. Rama Naik for his valuable contribution and encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. The event was a great success, fostering a sense of community and well-being among the participant.
