Internship Report 2020

Amidst the COVID19 pandemic the civil department organized an online internship for the students of the Second year and the third year after their fourth and sixth semester respectively.

(SE) Week One( 6th to the 11th July 2020)

• Pre placement training was organised by the Training and Placement cell .The students were made aware of the aptitude test, resume writing, and mock test on aptitude was organized.

(SE) Week Two (13th July 2020 to 17th July 2020)

• A crash course on basic to advance functions on excel was organised by the faculty of civil engineering department. Prof Nadya Baracho and Prof Jeffrey Valadares organised the lectures on the different functions that are used in Excel programme.
• A two day     refresh work shop was organized by Prof Shruti Desai in collaboration with Mr Celestian Braganza .The students were were given insight of the functions of the Autcad drafting software.

(TE)Week One ( 13th July   to 17th July 2020)

• Dr. Shweta Prasaana , prof Swaroopa Sail,  Prof Akshata Kuchadkar, organised a  one week workshop on LaTeX. LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for  the  production  of  technical  and  scientific  documentation.  This  workshop  will  be benefiting in regards to the compilation of final project report.

(TE)Week Two ( 20th th July to 24th July 2020)

• On the 20th of July and the 21st of July2020 a crash course on basic to advance functions on excel was organised by the faculty of civil engineering department. Prof Nadya Baracho and Prof Jeffrey Valadares     organised the  lectures on the  different functions that  are used  in  Excel programme.
• On the 22nd  July 2020 n online    technical lecture was organised by prof Oswyn Soares on the different chemical admixtures used in concrete mix design,followed by a lecture on Qualitative Structural analysis by Prof B.R Anirudha.
• On the 23rd  of July 2020 an online lecture on Infrared thermograpgy was delivered by Prof Madhuraj Naik, followed by an online lecture by Prof Prachi Dessai on waste management and later in the evening an online lecture by Prof Annapurna Sakhardande on Geo slopes.
• On  the  24th   of  July  2020,  an  online  lecture  was  delivered  by  prof  Satyesh  kakodkar  on construction project management. At the closure of the internship programme a lecture on well being was delivered by Prof Shruti Desai.
