Kshitij 2025 – Showcasing Innovation and Young Talent
Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, hosted Kshitij 2025, its annual state-level science project exhibition, drawing participation from educational institutions across Goa. This year’s edition featured over 30 school-level projects and 23 academic projects, highlighting a wide spectrum of research and innovation.
The event saw an enthusiastic footfall of over 300 students and teachers who explored the exhibits and engaged with budding innovators. Kshitij 2025 was inaugurated by Prof. Katti, Director of IIT Goa, who encouraged participants to “never settle” and to never compromise on their passion. The inaugural was also attended by Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director of Don Bosco College Panjim and former DBCE Director, who urged students to “make it happen,” along with Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal of DBCE, Dr. Ajit Salunke, and Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar, Kshitij Coordinators. With its growing reach and impact, Kshitij continues to be a hub for creativity, research, and scientific collaboration in the state.
On day two of Kshitij, a one-day workshop titled “Leading with Intelligence: AI Tools and Transformational Leadership in Educational Management” was successfully organized for principals and senior teachers, drawing participation from 82 delegates.
The inaugural function was graced by Dr. Savio Falleiro, Managing Director, Goa State Research Foundation, as the Chief Guest.
The workshop featured the following sessions:
- Session 1: Transformational Leadership in Educational Management by Mr. Kishore Shah, Talent Analyst and Organization Development Professional.
- Session 2: Introduction to AI Tools in Education Management by Mr. Prashant Missal, Founder & CEO of Habits 365 Club.
- Session 3: Implementation of NEP in Engineering under Goa University by Dr. Neena Panandikar and Mr. Swapnil Ramani.
- Post-Lunch: A hands-on training session on the use of various AI tools was conducted by Mr. Prashant Missal.
The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Shruti Jambhale, Mr. Sharad Shanbag, Ms. Starina Dias, and Mr. Yeshudas Muttu.
The valedictory function of Kshitij 2025 marked the culmination of a successful and enriching event. The ceremony was graced by Mrs. Pratima Dhond, President of the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Ms. Ambika Kamat Dhakankar and Sanheeta Naik from GCCI; Mr.Atul Naik, Founder of Precitech Components, Rev. Fr. Ralin De Souza, Rector, Don Bosco Fatorda; Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal, DBCE; Dr. Ajit Salunke and Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar, Convenors of Kshitij 2025.
The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where a wide range of innovative and impactful projects were awarded. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and pride as school students, in particular, showcased immense excitement upon receiving recognition for their efforts.
The event concluded with words of encouragement from the dignitaries, motivating participants to continue exploring, creating, and contributing to the world of science, technology, and innovation.
