As part of Vidnyan Dhara 2026, an initiative by the Goa State Higher Education Council and the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, Mrs. Anisha Cotta conducted expert sessions for school students in celebration of National Science Day.

The sessions were held at Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinim and Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem. She spoke on “Revolutionizing Healthcare through Nanoscale Innovations,” andintroduced students to the fascinating world of nanotechnology and its transformative impact on modern medicine.

During the session, she explained how nanoscale materials and devices are being used to improve diagnostics, enable targeted drug delivery, enhance imaging techniques, and develop advanced treatment methods. She highlighted how nanotechnology allows medicines to act precisely at the site of disease, reducing side effects and improving patient outcomes. Real-world examples and simple demonstrations helped students understand complex scientific concepts in an engaging manner.

The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions, explore emerging scientific fields, and consider careers in science and research. The initiative successfully fostered scientific curiosity and awareness among young learners, aligning with the spirit of National Science Day and promoting innovation-driven education in Goa.
