National Innovation and Startup Policy

Institution innovation council of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized a Seminar on 12th December 2020 titled “National Innovation and Startup Policy”. It was well-received by 100 participants from students and faculty. Dr. Gaurang S Patkar started the session with a warm welcome to all the attendees and also introduced the guest speaker. The session was taken over by the guest speaker Mr.S Mahaboob Hussain, Assistant Profesoor, CSE & Head iEDC, Mentor –AIM NITI Aayog, Vishnu Institute of Technology, Andra Pradesh, India.  The entire session was extremely interactive session.  He said that The National Innovation and Startup Policy for students and faculty of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will enable the institutes to actively engage students, faculties and staff in innovation and entrepreneurship related activities. This framework will also facilitate Ministry of Human Resource Development in bringing uniformity across HEIs in terms of Intellectual Property ownership management, technology licensing and institutional Startup policy, thus enabling creation of a robust innovation and Start up ecosystem across all HEIs.The workshop ended with a question and answer session. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Janhavi Naik.
