Participation in Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament

The intercollegiate basketball tournament on 03^rd September 2025 witnessed an enthusiastic participation from the DBCE men’s and women’s teams. Both teams displayed commendable effort, sportsmanship, and determination throughout their matches.

Men’s Team Performance

The DBCE men’s basketball team began their campaign with great momentum. In the first match against Dempe College Miramar, the team put up a strong performance to secure victory. Building on this confidence, the boys went on to win their second game against AITD, registering another convincing performance.

In the semi-final against GEC College, the team battled hard and showcased excellent teamwork, which carried them into the much-anticipated final against St. Xavier’s College. The final was an intense and closely contested match where DBCE fought valiantly until the very last minute. However, St. Xavier’s edged past with a final score of 63–57, resulting in DBCE finishing as Runners-up of the tournament.

Women’s Team Performance

The DBCE women’s basketball team also participated with full spirit. In their first match against Dempe College, the girls played a closely fought game. The match kept the spectators on the edge of their seats, but despite their best efforts, DBCE narrowly lost with a scoreline of 12–11.
