Participation in Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament

The Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament 2024-25, organized by Goa University, witnessed the participation of the men’s and women’s volleyball teams of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda. The tournament provided an excellent platform for our teams to showcase their skills and competitive spirit.

Men’s Category

The DBCE men’s team played their first match against Government College, Sanquelim. Despite putting up a strong effort, our team lost both sets:

• Set 1: 12-25
• Set 2: 17-25

A total of 12 players represented DBCE in the men’s category. Though the team faced a defeat, the performance was notably improved compared to the previous year, demonstrating the progress and determination of our players.

Women’s Category

The DBCE women’s volleyball team had an impressive run in the tournament:

1. First Match: Against Nirmala Institute, Altinho
   • DBCE won both sets comfortably.
2. Second Match: Against Dempo College, Miramar
   • DBCE won both sets in straight games.
3. Quarter-Final Match: Against Saraswat College, Mapusa
   • Set 1: 21-25
   • Set 2: 17-25
   • DBCE lost in the quarter-finals despite a competitive performance.

The experience gained in this tournament will serve as motivation for future competitions, aiming for better results in the coming years.
