Participation in the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) Batch II

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), in collaboration with the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC), organized the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) Batch II to strengthen the leadership and management capabilities of higher education faculty members.

The first phase of ALP Batch II was conducted atInfosys Ltd., Hyderabad from 8th to 12th September 2025. This intensive programme aimed to equip participants with contemporary skills in academic administration, leadership, and strategic planning for institutional development.

The Directorate of Higher Education nominated and sponsored three faculty members from Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) to attend this prestigious programme:

• Prof. (Dr.) Shwetha Prasanna
• Dr. Suraj Ravindra Marathe

The DHE graciously bore the costs of air travel, accommodation, and meals for all participants, ensuring a seamless and enriching learning experience.

Participation in the ALP provided the faculty with valuable insights into academic governance, decision-making frameworks, and effective leadership practices. The exposure to expert sessions, interactive workshops, and peer learning opportunities is expected to translate into improved institutional practices at DBCE.

The college expresses its gratitude to the Directorate of Higher Education and GSHEC for this initiative, which contributes significantly to the professional growth of faculty and, consequently, to the overall development of higher education in Goa.
