Procyon Pre Event – Mascot Competition

On February 7, 2025, the Student Council of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized a pre-event for Procyon, featuring an exciting Mascot Competition among the four engineering departments—Civil, Mechanical, ETC/ECS, and Computer Engineering. The event took place in the college auditorium and was met with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike.

The competition was judged by a distinguished panel, including Mr. Pranav Naik, representing Aashirwad Moving Images, Hibiscus Magix Ventures, and the Pharmaceutical sector (24×7 Pharmex and Shaurya Pharmex). The second judge was Ms. Avita Lotlikar, an Assistant Professor at PCCE.

The event commenced with a ramp walk, where each department’s mascot was introduced.. The mascots had the opportunity to present their character backstory and historical significance. Following this, the mascots were evaluated on crowd engagement, which included performing an interactive dance routine to energize and involve the audience.

The event was successfully coordinated by student representatives Mr. Sherwin Lourenco (General Secretary) and Mr. Sydney Dourado (Cultural Secretary), along with faculty coordinator Prof. Yeshudas Muttu
