Report on “Interactive Session with Successful Women”

An “Interactive Session with Successful Women” was organized by CII IWN(Confederation of Indian Industry- Indian Women Netwrok) DBCE Students’ Chapter, Don Bosco college of Engineering on November 28, 2022.

 The Resource people for the event were Ms. Swati Salgaocar, Chairperson, CII Goa State Council & President, V M Salgaocar & Bro. P. Ltd. and Ms. Sangeetha Naik, Chair, Masoom, Yi Goa chapter and Senior Associate, Cognizant.

The event was also graced by the presence of Director Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, CII IWN Chairperson Ms. Sheetal Pai Kane, CII IWN CO-Chair Ms. Sonia Kuncalienkar, CII Executive officer Mr. Fernando Da Silva and  CII- IWN DBCE Student’s Chapter Faculty coordinator Ms. Melba D’Souza.

The Compere for the day was Ms. Clarita De Souza.

 The session commenced by welcoming the dignitaries with flowers followed by a brief introduction  about  CII IWN and CII IWN DBCE students’ chapter by Ms. Sheetal Pai kane.

The resource person Ms. Swati Salgaocar and Ms. Sangeetha Naik were introduced by Ms. Angel Rodrigues and Ms. Marisa Barreto.

Ms Swati Salgaocar addressed the gathering and informed the student’s about her experiences and challenges faced in her career. She gave an insightful explanation about how the industry driven world works today and how we need to work on our skills and work as per the needs of the industry.

 Ms Sangeetha Naik spoke about the different sectors she worked in and about her experiences in working in TCS, in Germany, Singapore, London, Mumbai and Pune. She spoke about the importance of work ethics and to balance personal and work life, and to do everything to best of our capabilities with passion. This was followed by an interactive session with the CII-IWN student members, where they asked several questions which helped them understand the functionality in the present Industrial business world.

The session was truly informative and very engaging and helped the students immensely in making choices further in their career.

The event concluded with a vote thanks delivered by Ms. Kezia Fernandes.
