Report on “Writing effective research proposal” organized by IIC and R&D Cell

The Institute Innovation cell and Research & Development cell jointly organized Seminar on October 31, 2020 on “Writing effective research proposal”. The resource person was Dr.Gaurang S Patkar, Associate Professor and Head of Computer Engineering Department. The primary aim of organizing this seminar was to familiarize the participants on how to write effective research proposals based on the requirements of different funding agencies. The program was aimed to promote research among the faculty members. The session started at 4.00 pm on “Writing Effective Research Proposals for Funding Agencies” delivered by Dr.Gaurang . During the session he explained about the importance of funding and challenges in the process of acquiring grants for sponsored research. He also explained about list of funding agencies, selection of funding agency, writing an effective proposal , salient point to remember when writing a proposal. The topic was discussed with a sample exercise for the effective grant proposal to various funding schemes including bilateral projects.
