Republic Day 2025 Celebration

Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on 26th January 2025. The event witnessed the active participation of students, faculty, and staff, creating a memorable atmosphere of unity and pride.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial flag unfurling taken over by Mr. Clifford Britto, College Director of Sports and Physical Education and Leading Cadet, Mr. Tabrez Khan, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled the campus with patriotic zeal. Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and highlighted India’s official theme for this year’s Republic Day celebration, Golden India – Heritage and Development), highlighting India’s rich cultural legacy while celebrating its continuous path of growth and modernisation.

A soulful patriotic song by the First-Year Engineering students captivated the audience, reinforcing the love for the nation among the gathering. The Chief Guest for the occasion, Er. Anwar Khan, a seasoned Project Management Consultant and Chairman of IEI (Goa State Centre), delivered a thought-provoking address. He emphasized the crucial role of youth in driving societal transformation and innovation, urging students to be proactive agents of positive change.
As a token of gratitude, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal of the college, presented a memento to the Chief Guest. The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Rucha Sawant. The event served as a powerful reminder of the spirit of the Republic and the collective responsibility of every citizen to contribute to the nation’s growth.
