Republic Day Celebration at DBCE

On 26 January 2026, Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervour at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, marking the 77th Republic Day of India. The programme began with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, reaffirming the values enshrined in the Constitution.

The institution was honoured to welcome Ms. Rhucha Vasta, alumna of the 2015 batch, consulting civil engineer, and currently serving councillor, as the Chief Guest. She was accorded a floral welcome in the presence of Rector, Rev. Fr. Ralin D’souza, Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes, Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Administrator, Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira and Registar, Dr. Kala Nayak.

The celebration was enlivened by a spirited patriotic mashup presented by the students, which resonated strongly with the theme of national unity and pride. The welcome address was delivered by the Principal, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the recent achievements by the college.

Ms. Rhucha Vasta, in her address, shared insights from her professional and public service journey, inspiring students to contribute meaningfully to society. The programme concluded with the presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest, making the celebration a memorable and meaningful occasion.
