The robotics club “Robocom” of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, under the guidance of Prof. Flavia Leitao, participated in the Technical event Torque, held on 21st March 2025 at Goa Engineering College (GEC). Participants from various colleges attended the event, and the energy at the venue was vibrant and electric.

After the inauguration, the much-awaited RoboSumo competition kicked off. The team competed in the second match of the day. It was an intense and closely fought battle, ending with a narrow loss. The final score was 12-13, reflecting just how competitive and evenly matched the game was. Despite the loss, the team displayed great teamwork and control over the bot, which earned praise from the judges and spectators.

Simultaneously, the RoboRace competition was underway in another arena. Two Robocom bots faced off against several other high-speed and precisely programmed machines. One of our bots performed exceptionally well and came very close to securing second place, missing it by only 30 seconds. The challenging track and tight time constraints tested the bots’ design and performance, pushing us to the limits of our capabilities.

Overall, the Torque event was an exciting and enriching experience as it improved the team’s technical knowledge and strengthened team spirit and problem-solving abilities.
