Sustainable concrete construction is a step towards green and eco-friendly concrete construction practices to solve global environmental problems said Aakash Khaunte, Managing Director of Alcon-Anil Counto Enterprise.
He was speaking as the Chief Guest for the installation of Indian Concrete Institute –Don Bosco College of Engineering Student’s Chapter on 31st July 2019.

Further speaking on the occasion Mr. Khaunte said that Concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials in the world. A sustainable concrete structure is constructed to ensure that the total environmental impact during its life cycle, including its use, will be minimal.
He gave an overview of the manufacturing process of cement happening at Alcon-Anil Counto Enterprise.
A memorandum of understanding between Alcon-Anil Counto Enterprise and Don Bosco College of Engineering was signed on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Er. Joseph Silveira extended his full support to the student’s chapter. He highlighted the various activities of ICI –Goa.
Fr. Kinley D’Cruz in his address said that the student chapters help the student community to update their technical knowledge.
Earlier Dr. Neena Panandikar welcomed the gathering while Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Jocelyin Godinho compered the programme.
Prof. Kaushik Pai Fondekar and Prof. Shruti Dessai conducted the installation proceedings.
As a part of Industry –Academia linkage a lecture series was organised by ICI-Goa. Er. Shrikant Naik – Manager- Business Analysis and strategy at Alcon Goa Group , 1st Er. Subhash Sajne –Project Management Consultant and Dr. K.G.Guptha –Head of Civil Department at GEC-Farmagudi delivered the lectures.
