The Civil Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering conducted a talk on “Interior Design” on 25th April, 2019 .This talk was conducted as a part of academic enhancement for Second year students.

Consulting Civil Engineer  and Interior Designer Ms. Neha Kakodkar was the Speaker. Er. Neha Kakodkar  highlighted  the basic concepts of planning the interiors . She covered various topics which  include planning of modular kitchen, types of False Ceilings , Air Conditioning  and reading of Electrical drawings.

In her presentation, she spoke on the benefits of modular kitchen   over traditionally handmade cabinets.  She also explained 5 steps to plan a Modular Kitchen which include : defining the layout or shape ,selecting the modules, choosing the material, selecting the counter top and choosing the right kitchen appliances .

In Her presentation Er. Neha Kakodkar explained the different layouts of Modular Kitchen.

While covering False ceiling , She explained reasons providing False ceiling ,  its installations, types of false ceilings ,  different materials used and their finishes.

How to read an electrical drawing was also explained to the students.

Her lecture was followed by a question answer session in which the students participated enthusiastically.

The talk ended with a thanksgiving note by Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar.
