Talk on Risk Management Solutions

The Training & Placement Cell organized a talk on Risk Management Solutions, Path to be a CEO and Career Mapping for the next 5 years for the BE Mechanical undergraduate students on 09 April 2019 from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon. The eminent speaker Mr. Nilesh Sarawate, CEO of AKADEMIA shared his thoughts on how on engineer should make the right career decision. His team Mr. Vignesh Kamath and Mr. Shivav Temkar (Alumnus, DBCE Batch 2015) accompanied him.  Ms. Grebian Alemao, Counseling Psychologist, coordinated the talk.

The speaker emphasized on how engineers tend to take up other career fields like finance, marketing, events, sports, etc. He briefly listed his life story instances to the students on how his engineering career was shaped. The speaker made a very bold statement that 64 % of the IITIANS end up doing their career in Investment Banking. The speaker also stressed very much about the need of doing Double Post Graduate Programs. The speaker’s focus was on how MBA would guarantee the right type of skills to tackle the different situations. The speaker mentioned on how to map the career to become an efficient CEO of any company in a field of your choice.

It was a good experience for all the students who attended the talk and gained knowledge beyond the curriculum. The talk concluded on an interactive note with the questions and answers taken up by Mr. Vignesh Kamath and Mr. Shivav Temkar.
