Visit of Rector Major Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime

The visit of the tenth successor of Don Bosco, Rector Major, Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime created a feeling of warmth and goodwill. Don Angel Fernandez Artime embarked on his journey of knowledge and animation in the various Salesian houses and arrived at Don Bosco College of Engineering on March 30^th, 2019. On his arrival, Don Angel Fernandez Artime was presented an Indian turban, followed by a tour of the college.

The program started with a traditional prayer dance, followed by adorning the Don Bosco statue with a garland of fresh flowers. Don Angel Fernandez Artime was presented a shawl and basket of fruits. On this occasion, the Provincial Rev. Fr Felix Fernandes introduced the Rector Major, Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime and welcomed him along with Rev. Fr Horacio Lٕópez .

Don Angel Fernandez Artime provided insight and enlightened the minds of the youth with regards to family values and importance of education. He spoke with gentle calmness projecting understanding of life through a question answer round.

Don Bosco youth fest

During the  second half of the day a Don Bosco youth fest was organised where in the following events were organised:

• Rhythm of Tradition(Folk Dance)
• How Funny Am I?(Monologue)
• The Voice(Singing)
• &Ms. Don Bosco
• Step Up Revolution(Western Dance)
• DBCE College Band / DJ EVENING

The various Don Bosco colleges across the state of Goa participated with enthusiasm and passion. The winner of the Don Bosco youth fest 2019 was bagged by Don Bosco College of Engineering- Fatorda followed by  the runners up team as Don Bosco College -Panjim.
