Three days hands on Workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing” was conducted by Department of Computer Engineering from 9th -11th August 2019. About 66 students from Third and Final year Computer Engineering, DBCE, participated in the workshop.

The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Vikas Chaudhari, CEO- Hackers Era, Pune, who focused on Penetration Testing in the various field of cyber world. Live demonstrations were conducted on how a hacker breaks the computer security, Mobile security, Network Security, web application security, cyber forensics etc. This workshop was an attempt to convince participants that by identifying the loopholes of the system, developers can create their own security rules to secure their data from hackers. This workshop also provided deep insight on hacking skills as well as defense techniques that are robust enough in securing the systems from various cyber world attacks.

A complete hands-on experience was given to make students realize about the necessity of making security provisions in every software application they are going to build in the future.

Dr. Neena Panandikar congratulated all the participants for showing keen interest in big number. Prof. Vivek V. Jog coordinated the workshop.

A surprise test was conducted and top 10 participants were rewarded with advance course of $200 (Two hundred dollar) by Hackers Era.
