Blood Donation Camp by NSS

The NSS Unit of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, in association with the Blood Bank of Victor Hospital, Margao, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 11th March 2026 at the institute premises. A six-member team from the blood bank, led by Dr. Chelsea Rodrigues, visited the institute to conduct the blood collection. Dr. Kala Nayak, Registrar of DBCE, was also present on the occasion. A total of 54 students and staff members enthusiastically came forward to donate blood. However, due to factors such as low haemoglobin levels, blood pressure, and other medical conditions, 6 volunteers were unable to donate. Ultimately, 48 donors successfully donated blood, contributing towards saving many lives. This was the first blood donation camp organized by the NSS Unit during the academic year 2025–2026. The camp was coordinated by Dr. Chetan Gaonkar, NSS Programme Officer.
