Breast Screening Camp at our college Promotes Women’s Health
Our College (DBCE) in collaboration with the Bhatikar Charitable Trust and Urban Health Center Margao, hosted a Breast Screening Camp organized by DHRISHNI (Women’s Cell) on March 23rd, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about women’s health and ensure the well-being of female staff members. Breast cancer remains one of the most prevalent and potentially life-threatening diseases affecting women worldwide. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment and improved outcome. In light of the rising incidence of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, breast screening camps have become indispensable in promoting women’s health.
Dr. Pratistha Naik delivered an informative session on female health hygiene and breast cancer awareness during the camp. Dr. Ankita Amberkar and Head Nurse Gandhali conducted the screening process, providing essential support to attendees.
Principal Neena Panandikar honored the medical team with a heartfelt memento, acknowledging their dedication to women’s health. Prof. Janhavi Naik warmly introduced the esteemed doctors, highlighting their expertise and commitment to the cause.
The event received significant participation from female staff members, underscoring the importance of proactive healthcare initiatives.
