DBEC Emerges winners at Business Pitch Competition organized by GEC, Farmagudi

The Business Pitch Competition held under Torque by the Mechanical Department at Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi on 23rd April 2026 highlighted innovative student ideas. Among them, “The Cravin’” stood out as a health-first bakery initiative aimed at empowering home bakers with employment opportunities. The concept focuses on replacing unhealthy ingredients like maida and refined sugar with whole wheat, millet, and natural sweeteners, ensuring balanced nutrition without compromising taste. This team from DBCE students consisting of Ms. Arya Dutta (SE COMP) & Ms. Krisha Shet (SE Comp) proudly secured 1st place.
Targeting fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious consumers, the team proposed a cloud kitchen model for a cost-effective and scalable launch. Their strong revenue model, focus on transparency, and community-driven approach added to the appeal of the idea. The team also addressed key challenges such as ingredient costs and maintaining taste quality. Notably, their innovative and impactful concept secured first place in the competition, marking a significant achievement.
