One Day hands on Workshop on Introduction to Robotics at Mata Secondary school, Baina, Vasco- Da –Gama by Students of MecHEADS

“MecHEADS”, a Student group of Mechanical Engineering Department of Don Bosco College Engineering, Fatorda organized a One Day hands on Workshop on “Introduction to Robotics” at Mata secondary school No 1 at Baina, Vasco- Da –Gama on 16th September 2017 in association with JCI Vasco. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Subhash Shirodkar, Principal, Mata Secondary School. 47 students of 8th and 9th standard students attended the Program.

The student trainers for the training program were Mr. Yatish Danagiri, Mr. Mohammed Faraz khan, Mr Tejas Pandit and Mr Harshad Kawlekar. Workshop was mainly focused on encouraging school children in the field of robotics and automation. The students were introduced to different types of robots and their applications. The school students were familiarized about different parts and equipment required to build robots. Students were provided hands on training on assembling of various components of a mobile robot and programming.. Live demonstration of bots like line follower, obstacle detection & accelerometer gycro control were shown to the students.
Prof. Mr Ishaan Kossambe and Prof. Mr Raymond Joseph were the faculty coordinators and Tejas Pandit organized the program. Certificates were distributed to all the students.
