Report for One week SketchUp software training for TE Civil Students

SketchUp, formerly Google SketchUp, is a 3D modelling computer program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, film and video game design.
One week skill development training was conducted on SketchUp for the third year civil engineering students of Don Bosco College of Engineering from 1st July 2019 to 6th July 2019. This course was provided to the students in order to enhance their all round development.
The training course was organized by Civil department of Don Bosco College of Engineering and was conducted by Kamat EduTech LLP, Margao. Ms. Aarti Kamat and Mr. Vishal from Kamat EduTech were the resource persons for the training workshop.
Ms. Aarti Kamat explained with a presentation the definition and different applications of the software in industry. Mr. Vishal started with the training on the basic commands. The course continued with a detail explanation of the software and hands on practice for the students throughout the course. Students also had to complete small exercises given at the end of every day.
At the end of the course the students had to submit an assignment in given time.
In all, 61 students attended the training course and all the students have successfully completed the given task in given time. The students that have undergone the training will be Trimble certified.
