ROBOCOM at SPARX 2026 – GEC

The Robotics Club of Don Bosco College of Engineering (ROBOCOM) participated in the Line Follower Robot (LFR) event at SPARX 2026, held at GEC on 21st April 2026. The club was represented by three teams led by Mazen Leitao, Vallan Mascarenhas, and Jayden Fernandes.
The competition presented several challenges, including technical issues during runs, with one of the robots even catching fire. Despite these setbacks, the teams demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, successfully advancing two bots to Round 2.
In the final results, Mazen’s team secured 2nd place, while Vallan’s team achieved 3rd place. Jayden’s team, despite facing difficulties, contributed significantly to the overall effort. The event highlighted ROBOCOM’s perseverance, teamwork, and ability to perform under pressure.
The continued success of ROBOCOM is a result of the institution’s consistent encouragement and guidance. The team expresses sincere gratitude to the management of Don Bosco College of Engineering for fostering an environment that promotes innovation and creativity. They extend their heartfelt thanks to the Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, and the Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes, for their unwavering support. Special appreciation is also extended to the ROBOCOM club coordinator, Prof. Flavia Leitao, for her dedicated mentorship and constant motivation, which played a key role in this achievement.
