Talk on “ Innovation and Product Development” for TE Mechanical Students

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council(IIC) ,Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda organized a talk on “Innovation and Product Development” February 20, 2020 for Third Year Mechanical Engineering students .The resource person was Mr. Tarun Krishankumar ,Director, ULAVAN Agri Tech Services Pvt. Ltd.

He talked about the skill gap existing in the current crop of graduates and the importance to inculcate the right mindset for problem solving. He mentioned that the students should adapt to changing technologies and also build their own tools for finding solutions to the problems. He mentioned his work philosophy is based on willingness to learn ,build trust and ensure integrity. He motivated the students to be independent learners and take responsibility for tasks assigned. He talked passionately about the use of drones in his line of work. This was followed by a Q& A session with the students and faculty members.

Overall , it was very enlightening and a good learning experience for the students. The talk was coordinated by Prof. Ajit Salunke ,Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering , Prof, Suraj Marathe and Prof. Swapnil Ramani, Assistant Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda.
