Dr. Amrita Naik was invited as a resource person to deliver a session on “Transforming Education with AI: Practical Tools for Teaching and Research” on 1st April 2026 at Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim, for around 80 faculty members from various disciplines. The session aimed to familiarize educators with the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, learning, and research, and was conducted as a hands-on workshop to ensure active participation.

The session began with an introduction to prompt engineering, where participants learned how to design effective prompts to obtain accurate and meaningful outputs from AI tools. This was followed by demonstrations of AI tools for teaching and learning, including NotebookLM, Kahoot, Gamma, and Pictory. These tools were showcased to help educators create interactive content, quizzes, presentations, and videos, thereby enhancing student engagement and classroom effectiveness.

In addition, the session covered AI tools for research such as SciSpace, Connected Papers, Consensus, and Google Colab. Participants were guided on how these tools can assist in literature review, paper understanding, research discovery, and data analysis. The interactive nature of the session allowed faculty members to explore these tools in real time, making the learning experience practical and impactful.

Overall, the session was well received and proved beneficial in enhancing the participants’ understanding of integrating AI into academic practices. Faculty members showed keen interest in adopting these tools to improve their teaching methodologies and research productivity.
