DBCE Students excel in ISHRAE AQUEST 2026 National Finals

Raul Baracho and Mystyn Gracias from the Mechanical Engineering Department represented the DBCE ISHRAE Student Chapter in the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) AQUEST 2026 HVAC-R Quiz Competition. The team successfully progressed through multiple stages of the competition. They first qualified at the Chapter Level round and secured Second Place at the West Zone Quarter Finals held in Nashik. They then participated in the Semi-Finals held at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, where they finished among the Top 6 teams, thereby qualifying for the National Finals.

The National Finals were conducted on 13th March 2026 in Mumbai during ACREX 2026, one of the largest exhibitions and conferences in the HVAC&R industry. At the finals, the students successfully progressed to the elimination round, competing against top teams from across the country. Although they did not advance further to the Grand Finale, their performance at the national stage was commendable. During the visit, the students also explored the ACREX exhibition, where leading HVAC&R companies showcased the latest technologies, equipment, and innovations in the industry. This provided valuable industry exposure and learning experience. The students were accompanied by Prof. Tanay Rege.
